With the Bonn Physics Show, Herbert Dreiner has established a highly regarded outreach format that has been bringing generations of students together since 2001 and regularly inspires young and old alike, even outside the university. The shows, prepared and presented by students, combine spectacular live experiments from various fields of physics with a captivating storyline—explained in a way that is understandable for everyone aged 12 and above, even without prior knowledge. Over the years, the format has attracted many thousands of visitors, has gone on tour several times, and continues to receive great media coverage. In short: outreach in the best sense of the word.
